The Sognefjord (Urban East) or Sognefjorden The longest and deepest fjord in Norway is Sogn Fjord, often known as the King of the Fjords (Norwegian: Fjordenes konge). Stretching 205 kilometers (127 miles) inland from the coast to the tiny settlement of Skjolden in the municipality of Luster, it is situated in Vestland county in Western Norway.The nearby district of Sogn is named after the fjord.The name is related to Norwegian word súg- "to suck", presumably from the surge or suction of the tidal currents at the mouth of the fjord. Settlements around the fjord and its sidearms are connected by boats. Leirvik, Ytre Oppedal, Vadheim, Høyanger, Vikøyri, Balestrand, Hermansverk, Sogndalsfjøra, Gudvangen, Flåm, Aurlandsvangen, Laerdalsøyri, Årdalstangen, Gaupne, and Solvorn are some of the larger villages on the fjord and its branches. Gudvangen, which is just 300 meters (1,000 feet) across at its narrowest point, is located next to the Nærøyfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord that is especially renowned for its pristine nature and breathtaking views. The Nærøyfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Geirangerfjord in Møre og Romsdal. The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest unsupported railway climbs in the world, rising 864 meters (2,835 feet) from the village of Flåm to Myrdal Station in under 20 kilometers (12 miles).Three of Norway's most well-known stave churches have survived around the inner end of the fjord: Borgund (30 km or 20 mi into the Laerdal valley), Kaupanger, and Urnes (along the seashore). The 4,597-meter (15,082-foot) Sognefjord Span (power lines) spans the fjord. In the globe, this is the second-largest power line span. The fjord is now a popular tourist destination, and summer visitors contribute significantly to the local economy.

Nordland is one of the three northernmost counties in Norway in the Northern Norway region, bordering Troms in the north, Trøndelag in the south, Norrbotten County in Sweden to the east, Västerbotten County to the south-east, and the Atlantic Ocean (Norwegian Sea) to the west. Previously, the county was called Nordlandene amt. The town of Bodø is home to the county administration. Since 1995, Nordland has served as the administrative center for the isolated Arctic island of JaIn Nordland, the interior inland away from the fjords and mountains experiences significantly colder winters than the coast, resulting in the largest climate gradient during the winter months.n Mayen.  

Together with pastels, wrought iron pieces, and wood carvings, the collection of the Vigeland Museum includes 1,600 sculptures, 12,000 drawings, and 400 woodcuts. Gustav Vigeland and the City of Oslo came to an agreement in 1919, which led to the creation of the collection. A studio was constructed for him after he gave the municipality all of his artwork. It has housed Vigeland's artwork as a museum since 1950, seven years after his passing.

Around 1070, the city of Bergen was established inside Tyskebryggen's borders. Tyskebryggen became the hub of Hanseatic trade in Norway in 1350 when a Kontor of the Hanseatic League was founded there. Today, Bryggen is home to taverns, restaurants, stores, and museums."Among Bergen's most visited tourist destinations is the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf. Once the city's commercial hub, this brightly painted neighborhood was dominated by Hanseatic traders. Visitors can now discover the Bryggen Museum, shops, dining options, and a number of historic structures that depict medieval life The Hanseatic Museum, which has been operating since 1872, offers considerably more information. This intriguing museum is located in Finnegård, a mansion that belonged to one of the merchants in 1704. The Open Air Market and Troldhaugen, the former residence and workroom of composer Edvard Grieg, are both worth seeing while in Bergen. "

It is not advised to hike outside during these months without a guide or appropriate equipment.
