WELCOME TO

Interlaken, Switzerland

Interlaken is a picturesque resort town located in the heart of Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland region, nestled between two sparkling lakes—Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Its name literally means “between the lakes,” and the town is perfectly positioned at the foot of the towering peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. Thanks to its scenic beauty and strategic location, Interlaken is one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist destinations and a major hub for adventure sports and mountain excursions.

The town itself offers a blend of relaxed charm and activity. Höheweg, the main boulevard, is lined with elegant hotels, souvenir shops, and open parks with views of the surrounding Alps. Paragliders often dot the sky above, landing gracefully in the town’s central meadows. Visitors can take scenic boat rides on either lake, explore nearby traditional Swiss villages, or enjoy a ride on the vintage Harderbahn funicular to the top of Harder Kulm for panoramic views.

Interlaken is especially famous as the gateway to the Jungfrau Region. From here, you can embark on unforgettable journeys such as the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, Schilthorn (made famous by the James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service), and Lauterbrunnen Valley, known for its waterfalls and alpine villages. Whether you're hiking, skiing, canyoning, or simply sightseeing, the region offers something in every season.
