The Peak District was designated as a National Park in 1951 to conserve and enhance the area’s natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage. Combining a breathtaking mix of dramatic open landscapes, rolling dales, wild moorlands and picturesque villages, the National Park covers 555 square miles/1,435 kilometres - about the size of Greater London. The Peak District National Park is home to an amazingly diverse range of landscapes, with expansive and dramatic panoramic views. It consists of two main areas – the Dark Peak with rugged, heather-clad moorland and soaring gritstone edges, and the White Peak, with its gentler landscape of lush pastures, dales and winding river valleys. One of the most accessible National Parks in the UK is the Peak District, which is bordered by the energetic towns of Manchester and Sheffield. For visitors of all ages and skill levels, it provides an abundance of outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, climbing, horseback riding, caving, and water sports. The well-known Monsal and Tissington Trails are just two of the many secure, traffic-free cycling routes in the Peak District that are located on old railroad tracks. The lively market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne, and Buxton are not to be missed, while Ashford in the Water, Hartington, Eyam, and Edensor are quintessential English villages in the Peak District.

The highest are about 12 meters (39 feet) high, and in some spots, the cliffs' solidified lava is 28 meters (92 feet) thick. The National Trust owns and operates a large portion of the Giant's Causeway and Causeway Coast World Heritage Site. With over 998,000 visits in 2019, it is among the most visited tourist destinations in Northern Ireland .  

Located in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester, England, the Trafford Centre is a sizable indoor shopping mall and entertainment complex. In terms of retail space, it is the third largest in the UK and inaugurated in 1998. Originally built by the Peel Group, the Trafford Centre became the most expensive single property sale in British history when it was sold to Capital Shopping Centres, which would eventually become Intu, for £1.65 billion in 2011.One of the longest and most costly battles in UK planning history was to secure permission to develop the center.In 2011, the Trafford Centre boasted the busiest movie theatre in the UK and the biggest food court in Europe. The main dome of the three-story edifice is surrounded by a number of separate spaces. Department stores (Marks and Spencer and John Lewis, respectively) at the far ends of Regent Crescent and Peel Avenue serve as the malls' anchors. The first Selfridges store outside of London is located in the Dome. The 20-screen Odeon Cinema and other leisure amenities are also situated in the Dome section on the second floor accessed by The Orient.The Orient is a two-story dining and entertainment complex with the biggest food court in Europe as well as other eateries, cafes, and recreational spaces. The Great Hall was added in 2007 to expand this space.Festival Village, a market-style hall at the end of Peel Avenue, was once part of the center. Around 50 smaller boutiques catering to more specialized retailers occupied this 35,000 square foot facility, which also included food, childcare, and kid-friendly entertainment options.In order to make way for the John Lewis department store, which opened in May 2005, this area was shuttered in late 2003.

The Serpentine and Long Water lakes separate Hyde Park.Henry VIII created the park in 1536 when he appropriated the property from Westminster Abbey and turned it into a hunting area. Since its public opening in 1637, it has gained popularity, especially for May Day parades. Queen Caroline oversaw significant advancements in the early 18th century. During this time, the park also developed into a venue for duels, frequently involving nobles. The Crystal Palace, created by Joseph Paxton, was built for the Great Exhibition of 1851, which took place in the park during the 19th century. Since the 19th century, Hyde Park has been a focal point for free expression and protests. The Chartists, the Reform League, the suffragettes, and the Stop the War Coalition have all staged rallies at Speakers' Corner, which has been a site of free speech and discussion since 1872. The park gained notoriety in the late 20th century for hosting massive free rock concerts with acts like Queen, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones. Major park events have persisted into the twenty-first century, including the yearly Hyde Park Winter Wonderland since 2007 and Live 8 in 2005.
